Warlords for Sins of a Solar Empire
|
No surprise
... another star ship game that deserves a Star Wars mod!
Sins of a Solar Empire is a 4X that takes the 3D space environment (like Homeworld) and adds the strategic elements. It is (hopefully) a game with the strategic depth that we love... read: Rebellion, not Empire at War ;)
It comes out next month.
Of course Eville Jedi has been playing with it. The results are impressive
With much of the content done for Warlords, it will be a fine game to mod into the Star Wars universe. Go check and out on the Star Wars Warlords site .. and if you want to help, post on the Warlords forum

Jedi Academy and Half-life 2 mods

Haven't done one of these news for mods in a while...
First, the guys at MovieBattles brings you Star Wars: Movie Battles II - a mod for Jedi Academy. You can download their mod now.
Part of the same team joined with the Star Wars: Source to work on Star Wars: The New Era - a Half-life 2 mod. (Plus their site has an interesting music renditions of the Star Wars themes)

The Imperial Assault project joins our network!
The Imperial Assault project is actually two Star Wars total
conversions: one for Command & Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour and
the other for SW: Empire at War. Four factions will battle it out: the
Republic vs the Separatists and the Rebel Alliance vs the Galactic
Empire. More great RTS games that satisfy your ground combat cravings.
