After months of anticipation, Petroglyph's Michael Legg and Joe Bostic
finally respond to the interview, revealing a glimpse into both the
company's inner works and the game itself.
"PFF QUESTION: Can we use ion cannons and tractor beams to disable enemy ships and therefore allowing us to capture them?
Joe Bostic: Ion Cannons can be
used to fire on ships battling in space. This gives a large enhancement
to the effectiveness of space combat for the player fortunate enough to
have had the foresight to build an Ion Cannon on that planet. We
haven't yet settled on having tractor beams. Capturing *SPACE SHIPS* is
not possible at this time.

LEC announces EWOK ASSAULT expansion for Star Wars Warlords

Expected for release Very Soon™, Star Wars Warlords: EWOK ASSAULT will present a new playable race to the Naval combat simulator. Instead of providing a race such as the Chiss or Hapans, which are restricted by canonical limitations and future literature, the EWOK race was used to add to the arsenal of the Alliance forces. To compensate for their weaknesses it was decided that all of them would be armedwith superlasers. Since they obviously had the time to steal the plans from the Empire during the construction of the second death star. This will open up new dimensions in this brutally realistic Star Wars Ewok combat experience.
