Now Nvidia users can add their video cards to the Folding@home project. We know you're not spending all that time playing games with your video card. Use its processing power for a worthy cause.
Nvidia Folding@home beta client
Requirements: A Nvidia 8000/9000 series card (all those support Cuda which this client uses). Reports of 8800 GTs that can go up to 4000 PPD (points-per-day), that beats the pants out of all other clients.
------
I guess this my update for June. Our team score right now is 188203 with 176 WU. Our team ranking is 4303 of 126821. (Up another 2000!)
If you add your Nvidia card, we can reach our current point value in only 47 days! Another month and a half to double what we've contributed so far. Multiple people contribute, we can easily reduce that by multiple factors. Let's see how far our team can rank up.

Rank up Points: Folding@Home GPU2
|
Get points and beat up all the rest. Use your computer for Folding and challenge other team members!
Folding@Home has released their GPU2 client on their blog. This means if you have ATI Radeon 2000/3000 series graphics card, you use that idle time not spend gaming to donate to science.
My Radeon HD 2600 Pro is running appropimately 500 PPD! (points per day). That's more than any of my other CPUs so far. They are small projects too and complete in a few hours. So you don't need to stop your gaming all the time.
Current team: SWRebellion Network - 96904 Team ranking: 6306 of 116540 That's up over 2000 places since the last 1.5 month.

The SWR Folding@Home Team ranked up pretty fast since I started the new year, now at 8490 of 107943 teams with 214 WU. That's great. Thanxs to EvilleJedi, La_forge, plan3walk3r, Mad78, BMV, AtAt_Controller, and Sevase for their work units.
Remember you can donate your idle computer cycles to help out. All dual cores are fine, most of your performance is probably wasted if you're just checking email and surfing the internet.
Anyone running Radeon X1900s, Quad core CPUs, and PS3s are especially encouraged to join our team - team# 96904 - this will massively increase the performance of our team. Here's hoping for a Nvidia G80 client soon, so those with Nvidia 8000 series cards can contribute.
If you don't know what Folding@Home is, just check it out here. It's free and easy. Install the Windows GUI client and you'll see nice protein folding graphics too.

Another script update... this time to the SWRebellion wiki running Mediawiki.
It now logins in automatically and allows anonymous view access. Currently all the Rebellion content is visible with the Rebellion: namespace and some of our old discussions on a Rebellion 2 webgame have been placed in the Rebellion2: namespace.
Like the forums and the site, it will become a central page for many different interests. Watch for further changes as we add more upcoming projects.
