On SWR, TTO, EaW, Reloaded, Warlords...

I'm sure people are wondering about this TTO Empire at War project. While I definitely like to support all mod projects, I feel that this is too early to be considering anything. I cannot confirm anything tying Rebellion to Empire at War. There are no sources that confirm any known system to support modificiations. The experience for most Star Wars games are that mods are frowned upon. I don't expect a company such as LEC to backtrack and welcome the modding community
I can deny that our own Rebellion Reloaded team is supporting resources for this project. I can also say that Eville was not asked about Warlords beforehand concerning this project.
SWR has no known contacts to the EaW development team. As such, we rely on the same sources of information that you do. If you know of anything that points to Rebellion as a background, or the support for modifications, please send us a link! My own personal opinion from what I've seen thus far: EaW is going to play more like Starcraft or C&C than Rebellion. I don't see any indication that this will be an "heir apparent" to Rebellion.
Further, comparisons to the HW2 Warlords project are wrong. These two games have entirely different setups - thus one will not be better than the other, esp for a game that is still in development.

(User Info | Send a Message) | The starting to ghater R&D info about a future mod for EaW was a project...an ideea. It worked on many other games to prepare a moding team before the official release.
Anyway I have upseted to many people so I'm sorry I should never had such an initiative ideea. |
