Do you have a permanent internet connection? Are you using Windows? Then you can host a Freelancer server.

The guys over at SW Tides of War are looking for a permanent server. This is a Star Wars mod for Freelancer, currently hosting a limit of 40 players. If you want to do this, please contact me.

i will host if you let me do what i want with the ships but not to modify them or anything on the server ok and i need the download it will not let me on the site
