SWR Helpdesk Launched

As you can imagine, we receive a large amount of inquiries each day regarding various issues pertaining to SWR, including spam. As the staff all tries to be helpful, it is much easier to do this in a coordinated effort rather than individual. We have therefore launched the SWR Helpdesk (http://support.swrebellion.com). All inquiries regarding this website, your account, the IRC Server, password issues, etc, should be directed through this or via email to helpdesk at swrebellion dot net. (IRC Server issues email help at blazeirc dot net.) The contact us form has been updated to reflect this change, and I have taken down the feedback form and replaced it with the helpdesk.

If anyone is interested in participating as an SWR Support Staff member to assist with issues on the website please contact me through the Helpdesk or email stratus at swrebellion dot com.

What is Star Wars Celebration?

Star Wars Celebration is the official Lucasfilm event celebrating all things Star Wars, produced by fans for fans. Celebrations are the largest Star Wars parties, featuring cast and crew celebrities, fans, costumes, music, live entertainment, autographs, collectibles, and panels — but mainly friends who gather to have fun and celebrate their love for the saga. From fans who first experienced A New Hope in theaters to kids just discovering Star Wars through Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Celebration touches on anything and everything connected with that galaxy far, far away. The first such event took place in 1999, and we’re proud to host the fifth Celebration in 2010!

When Is Star Wars Celebration?

Star Wars Celebration V will take place August 12 - 15, 2010, commemorating the 30th Anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back, celebrating the continuing televised adventures of the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and looking forward to exciting new Star Wars projects to come.

Note that Star Wars Celebration's Exhibition Hall and other exhibits close nightly at 7 PM (and 5 PM on Sunday), but panels, screenings, and special events could go on later.

Where Is Star Wars Celebration?

Star Wars Celebration V is being held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, but like the Rebel Alliance, Star Wars Celebration doesn't have a permanent home. Instead, it travels around the world to avoid Imperial detection — and to bring Star Wars to as many fans as possible. The last three events celebrated the 30th anniversary of Star Wars.
